It had been one week since Donna McGhee and her daughters moved in with Granna. Every night since the move-in, Granna took great pride in escorting her youngest granddaughter, Lizzie, to bed. As Granna tucked the soft, yellow sheets under Lizzie's chin, Lizzie looked up at her, asking, "Granna, what's it like to be old?"
"Well, I have a beautiful family of children and grandchildren, and I have many, many memories and stories to tell about. The only disadvantage is that sometimes my memory deceives me now, or that I may not have much time left to share my stories. But, the beauty of it is that when I tell you and your sisters my stories, I know you'll remember them and share them forever."
"Being old isn't so bad, is it Granna?"
"No, it isn't so bad, Lizzie."
